  1. The Power-QWK 'History' Screen
  2. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  3. This screen allows you to re-process, or change information
  4. relating to, replies or messages entered during the current
  5. Power-QWK session.
  6.  
  7. If a reply-file (.REP or .MSG) existed at the start of the 
  8. session then this will have been unpacked when you first entered 
  9. the Messages topic so that you can re-process replies from a 
  10. previous session as well.
  11.  
  12. Select a message for re-processing by using the cursor and/or
  13. paging keys. Once a reply has been selected, the keys shown below
  14. have the effects indicated:

  16. Enter - Edit the message. This will also cause the date/time
  17.         stamp in the message header to be updated to 'time now'
  18.         unless the current message base has date stamping
  19.         switched off.

  21. Del - Delete the message.
  22.  
  23. A - 'Also send' the message to another addressee.
  24.  
  25.     Once having pressed A, you may press F2 to access the
  26.     Addressee Pick List.
  27.  
  28. C - Change the destination Conference, using the Conference
  29.     Pick List.
  30.  
  31. D - Display the message, with Ansi art and music support if
  32.     appropriate.
  33.  
  34. G - Gateway to DOS.
  35.  
  36. M - Change the date/time stamp to 'time now', unless the current
  37.     message base has time-stamping switched off.
  38.  
  39. P - toggle the Private/Public Status field.
  40.  
  41. S - edit the 'Subject' field.

  43. T - edit the 'To' field. Once having pressed T, you may press
  44.     F2 to access the Addressee Pick List.

  46. Ctrl/t - select a new tagline for the message. If you press Esc
  47.          at the tagline selection screen, the tagline (if any)
  48.          of the current message will be deleted.

  50.          Ctrl/t is also available whilst a message is being
  51.          displayed using the D function.

  53. Esc - leave the History Screen; return to the Power-QWK Conference
  54.       Menu.

  56. Note that if you edit a message, or alter, add or delete its
  57. tagline, Power-QWK moves the message physically to the end of the
  58. file containing all the replies. This causes its entry on the
  59. History Screen also to move to the end of the list of messages.

  61. However, Power-QWK moves the on-screen pointer to the entry's new
  62. location so you can't lose it. Just don't worry that the on-screen
  63. message order changes.
